A few problems with some functions still exist. This page is a list of known problems and enhancements that may be necessary for production requirements. Items that are considered enhancements must be evaluated and prioritized before development can begin.
Parmater file creation from DLG header information was possible in previous versions of RevPG. The C program that made this possible did not compile and was replaced with existing AML code for parameter file creation. This function has many advantages and will be included in a future release of RevPG.
While projecting from NAD27 to NAD83, paneling and clipping of adjoining coverages to fill in the missing data created from the project is bombing out. If you are projecting a set of coverages and do not have adjoining quads, or don't mind filling in the missing data manually, projecting from NAD27 to NAD83 works fine. This will continue to be investigated.
The CAD package located in the edit part of RevPG currently will not work. The programming is dependent on a couple of shell scripts to work. The tasks that the shell scripts performed will have to be re-written in AML to enable this function.
Old format DOQ headers were used in older versions of RevPG to georeference the DOQ. This was accomplished through a C program that did not compile. There are two options to fix this problem: work on the C code, or convert the old header format to the new header format through programs created at Western Mapping Center. This will continue to be investigated. An evaluation will be made to determine if we need to retain support for the old format in the RevPG system.
A couple of symbol problems are known. The symbol for a lava flow outline is not working correctly. There are a couple of symbols for DRG creation of boundary monuments that need to be created and coded into the plotting software.
Enhancements to existing capabilities include:
