Integrating Vector SDTS Datasets into GIS Packages for the Novice User

The conference paper presented at the annual Mid-America GIS Symposium is available below. Also included below (for downloading) is the .AML routine described in these proceedings. Instructions for using the .AML are contained in the README.

Paper--Integrating SDTS Datasets Into GIS Packages For The Novice User (DRAFT - May, 1998). Please note: This Paper references the outdated AML (sdtshelp.aml). This Paper will; however, be of assistance to users who download the new AML below.

new AML routine--This AML (sdts2cov.aml, V2.0, 2/12/99) will import, build, and attach attributes to their features and is intended for use with 24K, 100K and 2000K vector DLG/SDTS datasets ONLY. This routine is not applicable for the DEM/SDTS data, as they are raster data. This version contains several bug fixes to the algorithm used in the previous AML (sdtshelp.aml)
