Al Butler presented some ideas for SDTS to more completely support enterprise GIS-T, e.g., linear datum objects, more types of points, alternatives to cartographic position items. He also gave us a quick but clear explanation of the Dueker/Butler data model for transportation. The Dueker/Butler paper is at the Portland State site
