GeoMorph is a general data translation package. It runs on Windows 95 and NT only. Unix and MacOS versions are being considered.

SDTS is one of many formats GeoMorph will import and translate. SDTS translation was implemented from scratch using the standards documents and public domain software available from the USGS. The Topological Vector Profile (TVP) was implemented first; the development took about 6 months. Implementation of the Transportation Network Profile (TNP) was able to build on the TVP work, and took only a few weeks.

Batch data translation is the core of the GeoMorph system. A GUI sits on top of this core, but can be removed by the end users and the core system incorporated into other applications.

The GeoMorph web page is at http://www.aztechcon.com/geomorph.

The web site contains a demonstration version of the software that is full-featured except for batch data translation capabilities.
